Even Sanders.
For all their talk of filibuster reform, for all their "high ideals", they want nothing more than the status quo, nothing more than to fundraise off of us.
How many times in the past four years of total obstruction have our progressive heroes talked about how nothing can get passed in the Senate?
And how many times have any of them stood on the Senate floor and made a motion to the Parliamentarian declaring that the Constitution mandates that votes can only be passed with a majority of votes unless otherwise specifically mentioned in the Constitution?
Why hasn't our "independent" Senator done such a thing? Why won't our new "heroes" do the same?
And why won't anyone press them to answer WHY NOT?
If fixing the filibuster is so damn important, then why not blow up the Senate by going the Parliamentarian route?
We have hugely important tests coming up. The Courts have handed the President a defeat. He must renominate members of the NLRB. Richard Cordray's nomination must be confirmed.
Will our progressive heroes sit idly by and allow these nominations to be blocked? Will Senator Warren allow her agency to be gutted in order for there to be a head? Senator Harkin, one of our Liberal Lions, is retiring. He has nothing left to lose. Will they prove themselves part of the problem?
Or will they take a stand and force a solution?
