The Big Money Wants Trump Gone, But What About The Base?

So, the big donors in the Republican Party are starting to speak out against Trump. They REALLY REALLY don't want him on the debate stage. At all. And as you know, as goes the money, so goes the candidates. Here's what major donor John Jordan had to say:

According to an Associated Press report, “Republican donor John Jordan said Monday that GOP leaders should take steps to block Trump’s access to the first presidential debate in early August.”

“Someone in the party ought to start some sort of petition saying, ‘If Trump’s going to be on the stage, I’m not going to be on there with him,'” Jordan told the AP. “I’m toying with the idea of it.”

And he's not the only one. Foster Friess, Sheldon Adelson, and Tom Ricketts have all communicated a "call for civility" among Republicans, which is code for "STFU, Trump".

But what does the base think about that? Let's put on our hazmat suits and wade through some of the comments, shall we?

The Republican Party is angry that Trump is bringing up the issues that are on most of Americans minds. The men running for president does not want to tell Americans just how th ey feel about ILLEGALS. To keep Trump out of the debates is asinine. The Republican Party is becoming more like the Democrat Party, that is why I am a registered Independent. I like T rump, he tells it like it is and does not mince words. Whats wrong with that? Its refreshing. I h ope he gets the nomination. He is the only one that can beat Hillary.

Trump is bringing up issues and taking the stand the GOP won't and they can't stand him because he actually has a backbone which has been lacking in the GOP for a very long time and what contributed to Obama in the whitehouse!
Republicans are all cowards--- They are scared to death of Trump who says things the other politicians do not want to hear?? Americans voting public will get behind thjis guy!

I am really hoping so. Have never thought much of his personality, but so far everything he has said is what needs to be said. I haven't voted in along time, but this might just be the year for me to start again. I'll be damned if I want to see Hillary in the White House. How can people get past her history of lies and cover ups and still stand behind her?

I agree Mike. I think we have a bunch of chicken shit politicians in the republican party now. Its a shame that they are going after one of their own. What trump said was true and I'm glad that SOMEONE is finally starting to speak out on some of the issues that are hurting us.

He is only saying what people have been thinking for years, but he has the guts to say it. And what happened to freedom of speech? There just running scared!!

I don't understand how they can ban anyone from these events. I agree. These other politicians are just scared of him speaking the "truth'. In addition, they are all probably disappointed because he won't be available to fund their campaigns.

The other candidates are worried. Fear is pushing the career politicians to attack him. They are mad because they do not want to talk about the things that are important. Go Trump!

what in hell is wrong with the GOP they have an honest man willing to fight for our country and now they are knifing him in the back He has as much right to be at a debate as any one of the other people trying to get into office. He is a smart, intelligent , honest person who you want to punish for telling the country what most of us already know. Are you stupid enough to lose the voters just to help the Democrats that have screwed us over. ??????? get over your jealousy because you don't have the guts to fight for our country. Yea for Donald Trump don't make alot of voters to turn to Dems or not vote for anyone WAKE UP AMERICA

Oh, this is delicious.
